Our team of trainers all work for us in a support capacity as well as being our associate trainers. This enables them to draw on the knowledge of their own hands on experience when answering your questions and queries during the training sessions.
Our experience of managing and delivering services for vulnerable adults and children means that we understand the training prorities of the social care sector.
As well as being specialist health and social care training providers, we can adapt our training programmes to suit which ever industry your staff will be working in.
We currently provide training in;
Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding
This is the level 1 training package, aimed at support staff working or volunteering in all health and social care sectors, apprentices, trainees and colleges. Developed by Newcastle Adult Safeguarding Board and presented by a NASB associated trainer, we can ensure up-to-date vulnerable adult safeguarding training for your staff, with further tailoring to your needs as a single agency package.
This facilitating course incorporates PowerPoint slides, visual and auditory learning aids, case studies, group exercises, a summative assessment and facilitation to ensure that learning takes place on this most important subject. We are ensuring that this course links into much of the QCF diploma and technical certificate safeguarding units.
Duration: The course lasts 4 hours, with a 15-20 minute comfort break

Health & Safety Awareness
This is an awareness training package, aimed at support staff working or volunteering in all health and social care sectors, apprentices, trainees and colleges. All sections of this course meet the minimum standards set by Skills for Care and GCSC.
This is a facilitating course, aimed to ensure candidates participate, enjoy and learn from their day. The course incorporates PowerPoint slides, visual learning aids, group exercises, PPE demonstrations, a summative assessment and facilitation to ensure that learning takes place. We are ensuring that this course links into some of the QCF diploma and technical certificate health and safety units outcomes. This course can be tailored to the needs of any company, agency or group.
Duration: The full course lasts 6 hours, with two 15 minute comfort breaks and a half an hour lunch break.

This Medication Administration programme has been developed with the UKHCA to train staff to prompt, assist or administer medication. Training is broken down into two areas and is supported throughout by quizzes and activities. The two areas covered are:

The key legislation about medication ensuring that the care worker is aware of these together with the requirements of the regulators
The organisation’s medication policies and procedures and the importance of working within these parameters
The role that care workers and managers play within the medication process
Full medication training – This explains:
The importance of maintaining service user independence
How medication is classified, the different types of medication available and the various routes they can be taken
Medication contra-indications and how to ensure the safety of service users
How to prompt, assist or administer medication safely ensuring that the correct medication is taken at all times
How to accurately record medication activities and why this is important
How to store and disposal of medication
Each part of the training includes competency tests to ensure care workers are safe to prompt, assist or administer medication.
Duration: This is a 6 hour course including a half hour lunch break
This course is for: Anyone working in social care settings who handles or prepares foodstuffs, or supports another person to do so.
Trainer: Our trainers are accredited to Level 3 in Supervising Food Safety by Highfield, the UK’s leading supplier of food safety training.
